Hey beautiful people,

Well I have to say it’s been a hot minute! But I promise, it wasn’t my intention at all, life has just been happening at its best.  I’ve got good news though, your girl is finally finished her masters. Well…….almost because for some reason, it doesn’t feel like it’s over until the graduation. I can’t believe how quick two years went, it still feels weird waking up and being able to do my own thing not having the pressure of assignments and exams hovering over my head. But finishing my masters is probably the biggest news I’ve got, the other times I’ve been busy with striking a balance between being a business woman, being part of such an active choir (click here), working and finding time for my family and friends.  I’ve definitely been enjoying the break while preparing for interviews and being spontaneous with my free time.

The one question I get a lot is how I manage to balance everything I’m involved in. I would say, the one thing that has kept me grounded has been my faith but also prioritising and learning how to manage my resources such as time management and money. Another thing, I’ve been trying to work on a lot more often is the ability to say no but that’s another days post ….

Here are a list of my practical tips that has helped me stay on track

  • Making the most of being stuck in traffic- One of the perks of using public transport is being stuck in traffic. I hate it! but I’ve got to be honest, the hours spent on the bus have been worth it because I get to reply emails, work on my assignments or do my research,  post content on my socials and promote it, reply to blog comments and so on. The best decision I made since starting my masters was getting a Mac Book Pro and joining the apple family. It has literally been my life saver, I bring it everywhere as it’s multipurpose, even better is the fact that I then got an iPhone, life has not been easier!

  • Gym! Gym! Gym !I’ve grown to love the gym as its been the one space I have to myself. The benefit is that I am beginning to see the effects physically, however I need to get better with my diet, it is currently atrocious

  • Delegating and asking for help.  I’ve come to realise that in order to continue to work effectively and have good results, I’ve got to ask for help. This is crucial for time management. I count myself  lucky to have a great support systems and I cannot stress the benefits of owning a diary!

  • Logging off on all social media platforms.  Social media is great for connecting with my followers and networking, but also it can be distracting when one doesn’t have a focus point. To help me focus on what’s most important at every given time, I’ve been logging off! That way, I’m able to achieve purpose with my platforms, this isn’t to say I don’t occasionally relax on instagram Image result for laughing emoji

This brings me to the end of today’s post, you guys know I always miss you when I’m gone too long. I just want to say a huge thank you for your patience though and still keeping up with me.

I don’t wanna jinx it this time but see you soon
