Hey beautiful people,

Happy New Week and Happy New Month! I am so happy I was able to have the post out early this week and even better that it is the first day of the month. College has got me so busy I literally have time for nothing else but assignments and dead lines. But I will not bore you with more details as I am sure you are here for something a little more interesting. Over the weekend, I had some spare time and decided to try something new. I tried some ‘Flat Lay’ photography which is an easy way to showcase some amazing items. Maybe, I should not say easy because there are some tricks and tips to it as it requires creativity but I took a few shots and came up with these ones. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section down below.

Okay, so in this post, I also wanted to share some of my current favourite beauty products. I will start with foundations.

First is my Estee Lauder ‘Double Wear’ stay in place SPF10.  This product is true to its description, it literally stays in place and gives you a matte finish. I love how flawless and natural I look every time I use it. It is also light weight. It would be great if you have oily skin but it might not be the best product for dry skin because it is quite matte and might not be forgiving to your skin.

The Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation is also great. It equally does a great job and it is a decent price (8.00 euro).  Although it is also matte, it is not such a drying matte formula as the Estee Lauder. It is proof that you don’t have to break the bank to look expensive. Since I got my Estee Lauder foundation, I  use this as my everyday foundation or to simple events.

This  Air Cushion Skin Perfector was gifted by my sister. Initially I was sceptical because I had never heard of it, but after doing my research and trying it out for myself.  This product actually wowed me! That’s not a word but you get the gistImage result for laughing emoji. The finish result is absolutely flawless and I love the airbrushed finished look.

I had to leave my favourite to the last. Guys, this Zaron Healthy Glow foundation is the bomb! I mean literally the bomb. I stumbled upon the brand a few months ago on YouTube and then did my own research on Instagram.  The product blends so well into my skin and gives an even tone making my skin look healthy with a beautiful glow.  I have gotten so many compliments every time I used this product and its actually the reason why I decided to share this post. I am even more proud that it is a  Nigerian Brand.

To conceal, I am currently using two products. My NYX concealer wand and my regular LA Pro girl concealer in Fawn  (see the flay-lay photo). They both do the job for me, but in terms of coverage, the NYX concealer is a lighter coverage. It would be my everyday concealing product especially because it is closer to my skin tone.

To contour I have been using this cream shadow from Ben Nye and I love it. When it comes to contour, it is all down to your preference and what you are use to. Some people prefer to contour with powders while some prefer cream contours. At the moment , the cream products work better for me and to set I would use a dark powder or eye shadow.

I love this Milano powder. It is multi-purpose because some times I use it as a finishing powder and other times, I use it as an highlighting powder, it really depends on the foundations I use.

When it comes to eye brows, I am quite particular and I find that I have tried way too many products.  This eye pencil from Penneys/ Primark does a great job. Followed by Eye Brow Marker from KIKO which is also great. The marker is a lighter colour so I go over it with the eye pencil from Penneys.

So here is a final flatlay photo showing all my current favourite  make up products. Very soon, you will see eye-shadow palettes added to the mix because I want to get more creative with make-up, if and when I have time ! I hope you guys enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed creating it.

See you soon
